ART TRAIL 2023
ART TRAIL 2023
ON THE TRAIL OF GREAT ART IN NORTH LEEDS…
The 8th Roundhay Artists Open Studios Art Trail will take place on Saturday April 29th, Sunday April 30th & Monday May 1st, 11.00 am – 5.00 pm each day
Following last year’s successful return after a COVID enforced absence, local artists and makers will again open their home studios and exhibit their work at two local churches for another 3 day event.
Roundhay Artists Open Studios has been a hugely popular event since 2014 and this year’s Art Trail sees new artists getting involved as well as familiar faces returning to show their latest work.
All the artists are looking forward to welcoming new visitors keen to discover what real artists’ studios look like, and to say hello again to regular visitors to this ‘must-see’ event.
There will be a wide range of work on show, including print making, ceramics, painting, collage, glass and wood art with something to interest all tastes from the traditional to contemporary.
The Art Trail this year is being supported by a Leeds Inspired grant and greater emphasis will be made on making this an interactive experience for visitors. Click below for times and descriptions of talks
As well as talking about the artistic process behind many of the pieces, a number of artists will be offering hands-on experiences and demonstrations for visitors. These include felt making, stained glass and watercolour techniques, wood colouring methods, and younger visitors will be able to colour their own piece of art at one of the churches.
Artists will also be on hand to perhaps help you to choose an example of their work to buy, or to discuss a commission to produce a unique piece just for you.
The Roundhay Artists Art trail is supported in Leed’s Year of Culture 2023 by a Leeds Inspired grant
