Hello, since my childhood back in Manchester, I’ve always had a pencil or paintbrush in my hand. With no formal training, I would consider myself as an abstract artist using acrylics, pastels and sometimes watercolour. I don’t always keep to a particular theme which allows me to have more freedom and flexibility.

My inspiration comes from my everyday surroundings. I love exploring new places and as a passionate traveller I always take lots of photographs which fuel my inspiration. This can be from natural elements through to amazing architectural structures where light, texture and shadow take interesting form which manipulates the mind to see something different.

I love to play and experiment with colour and texture, using a multitude of tools at my disposal.

I have lived in Leeds for over 25 years, settling in Roundhay , I have been lucky to take early retirement and with renewed passion I am now sharing my art with a wider audience.
