About Ann Waddington

I work mainly as a printer using Lino and a Tofko press. I use the reduction process which means that I print and cut usually as many as 10 times in order to have a wide colour range. At the end of the process the print cannot be reproduced which means that usually a maximum of 20 prints are produced from one piece of Lino.
I am a painterly Lino printer and my prints tend to look more impressionistic than many other Lino printers. Often there is colour variation from print to print as the process evolves meaning that each print is somewhat unique.
I use natural subjects for my inspiration and enjoy the drama of light and colour in the natural world.
