Ann Waddington works mainly in the medium of Lino printing. Her style is painterly and in that sense differs from many printers.; she tends to use cutting tools as a painter might use paint brushes. Colour and drama in the moods of landscape and nature inspires her work particularly her love for North west Scotland. She loves the unexpected effects in printing and tends to veer away from precise lines , enjoying a more impressionistic style whilst rooted in the close observation of landscape and nature.
